So installed a new TB/WP, Radiator, tensioner and ac comprosser with a lot of help from this community.

It's all back together and it actually started without exploding and i couldnt find any leaks. Letting it run for 10 minutes so I can top off the coolant in noticed a chattering sound coming from somewhere...it seems consistent and doesn't get faster when the engine is reved. I replaced almost all the pulleys, idlers, etc. except the crankshaft and PS pump. Seems to be maybe to the drivers side of center.

I'll link two videos if anyone wants to check it out and see what they think. Hoping i didn't screw this up too bad. And yes I saw the cover was missing a bolt and put the extra one i had in there. Lol

Really hard to tell in the videos. Trying taking off the serpentine belt and run it. If the noise goes away or changes it could be a pulley. Also might be easier to hear that way too

The previous owner installed the AC compressor incorrectly on my gx and it made a chattering sound when the clutch was engaged. Maybe see if there is any play on the AC compressor or if turning off your HVAC makes a difference.

Get a 2' piece long of rubber hose - such as heater hose - and put one end up to your ear. Probe the other end around the engine bay until you find the source of the noise. It'll be immediatley apparent when you locate it as the hose will channel the noise right to your ear.

Is it running OK? It's super easy for the DS cam sprocket to slip 90 degrees out of time, since the timing marks have it sitting with several of the valves open when the belt goes on (valve springs are trying to turn the cam for you). It can easily slip without you noticing.

First my heart goes out to you.

Recently did this on my GX and could easily have been 1 tooth off on the crank pulley.

Any luck?
