For those that are looking for the "period-correct" looking tach in their FJ40's, we went with this model from Wild Horses 4x4:

Our '72 has a SBC and we needed a tach. It's an Autometer gauge with their custom face and needle installed. It should work with the factory F and 2F engines as well since there's a selector switch on the back of the gauge for 4/6/8 cylinder engines. Of all the offerings available, I think this one looks the best.

Tractors don't need tach's - if you are going fast enough to worry about the engine you should be looking where you are going in a short wheel based machine.

I like to see my idle speed, and when climbing a long, rocky hill in low/low/granny I like to keep the RPMs 1000 to 1200

Autometer Z series gauge in 4k flavor. Some surgery required on the pedestal mount. Used a 4k YOTA reproduction face from @BreckenridgeCruiser for the full on Toyota experience.
