Aftermarket Leather seat replacement

I tried searching and failed to find the orginal thread that elmariachi started regarding an upholstery shop the he was trying to convince to mass-produce an altenative to the "have-to-sell-my-left-nut" priced OEM leather seat replacements.

Anybody know the status of this noble quest?
