I would be interested depending on price. I am thinking there would be like 10 to 15hp gain just by sweeping them back. I need them either way because of a leak.

I'd be interested if the price was right...

I'd be intersted from either company and I think JBA has been the leaders in shorties for some time. I'd like to make sure the flanges are good and thick and overall the quality of the haeder is equal to or better than the OEM sutff.... I assume they will be made from stainless steel... I'd like mine Jet Hot coated ;)

I would think JBA would be all over this. The Tundra headers look sweet. The dyno chart is showing 25hp with the headers and cat back. That would be nice improvement for our 230hp.

That is with the cat-back too.

I mentioned to JBA that due to the low-quality OEM headers lots of people are looking to replace them with higher grade stuff. We'll see what they have to say next week, glad to see there is a true interest in them.

They can have my 2000 in Colorado for a length of time, like CA Gibson deal - if that is possible.

sounds cool if not to $$$$$
i dont have to run a cat here ...i wonder what hp you get with no cat and all new from front to back.

how big can you go with the pipe?

JBA is located in San Diego, CA. I didnt get a response back this evening but I assumed that.

As far as chopping out the cat, I think it would have little effect on overall power. A nicely tuned set of headers would provide the performance gains you and a bunch of us are looking for. I've only seen three 100s so far here in the islands and all three had ticking exhaust manifolds! Its really amazing how poorly the OEM stuff was built, in terms of lasting quality.

X10... I'm in !! :D

Sending in that manifold to use as a template sounds like a very good idea !!

I would only send them "New" uninstalled ones for them to R&D, but having a truck there is the best bet, so they know what space they have to work with.

they are selling JBA headers, I will get a confirm from JBA then this week to see if those actually do apply for us. That would be awesome and I'd probably order them before I even get home!

Holy cheap, that's probably under $500 shipped. I'm pretty sure a new OEM set would be north of that. Who would not make the switch if the OEM's needed replacing. Even if you leave the rest of the exhaust alone to keep it Lexus quiet you would pick up 10-15 hp. High flow the cat and and a decent Magnaflow or Borla and pick up 20-25.
One thing people sometimes don't realize is that the peak HP and TQ after headers and exhaust also (usually) come at lower RPM's.

Loud, make sure to post an update and let us know!!!:)
