I used the proper spacer. I bought the pump from rock auto I believe. I will order the right one from racer on Monday. The motor is a 1980 2f with a delta cam. Any input? Thanks, garrett

Agh, that sucks.
Did you drop the oil pan to retrieve the broken piece(s)?
Cam lobe too much for stock fuel pump? I am partial to OEM parts in this situation. PITA

Ouch...sorry to see that happen! For a '79 and up you need the 23100-61050 pump. I actually don't carry that one, since I see a proliferation of this pump already being sold everywhere. Apparently not all aftermarket versions are created equal! I'd definitely go for either OEM or a Kyosan.

All OEM mechanical fuel pumps and filter are Kyosan until 1988 when EFI is introduced with the FJ62.

Then fuel filters and pumps become Denso units.
