Got the inside of the roof insulated. I used the foil on both sides wooly type stuff for the big patches and the foil with bubble wrap type under the bows. It seems to help deaden the tin can sound. Next will be getting the headliner installed.

Looks great. How are you getting around the moisture issue? I worry about damp forming between roof liner, insulation and roof

Living in AZ, not much dampness to be concerned about. Now, dust on the other hand is something else.....;)

Took the wagon for a 140 mile exploration trip thru the north side of the Bradshaw Mountains. The roof insulation seemed to have dampen down the sound pretty good. It kept the inside of the roof much cooler than the top as well. As long as it stays stuck to the roof, I am happy.
The new distributor worked well too. No more pinging on the big hills. Seemed to have alittle more power on the top end.
We explored a few different mines, but most were flooded. It was perfect out. Low 70's, a cool breeze, aplenty of shade from the trees. Here's a couple pix

Huge fail on the insulation. Half of it fell down. The adhesive lost its stick after the sun baked on the roof.

On the upside, I swapped in the original style wiper switch. One step closer to functional wipers.

Mounted an old ammo can as a tool box. Got some new hood hooks. Alittle shinier than I would like but the hood is held down solid now. Should help on the drive to Flagstaff tomorrow. Headed up there to play around and hit the Overland Expo.

How is the ammo box secured?

What a cool trip. I hit all kinds of weather and just kept on truckin'. There was about 3-4 inches of snow at my friends place in Flagstaff when I arrived. We went for a cruise around the San Francisco Peaks. Then hit some virgin snow. Good thing I brought a squeegee with cause I don't have wipers or defrost......

Then on Saturday, we went to the Overland Expo. It was pretty muddy, but was a cool show. Lots of cool do dads and such. Neat trucks from all over the world, plenty of Cruisers as well.

Don't worry about those hood hooks being to shiney. If there any thing like the ones I've used, in a couple of weeks they will start rusting up nicely

The hood didn't budge all weekend and it was pretty windy at times. Shiny or not they are here to stay. I love easy fixes.

Not too much to report here. Been driving the wagon more and more before it gets too hot here. I had to swap in some new motor mounts last weekend as the driverside one had failed. I think the bolts I used in the rear mounts were too long and i never got them tight enough, allowing the trans to move around abit. Hopefully these ones last longer.

Upgraded from a generic ignition switch to a nice new oem one from a 70-72 model year. Much nicer and now has the factory keys.

Just in time for summer, I got the defroster hoses hooked up. I made some adapter type pieces and riveted them to the heater box. Then used some 1 1/2'' defrost hose I got from Rockauto to connect the 2 points. It really does push that much airflow to the windshield, but it's better than nothing.

Got the wagon down at the upholstery shop getting the headliner installed. Can't wait to see how it turns out.
