Thanks man. This thread is to motivate and just enjoy what you have.

So after messing around with the 40 for a month, it finally is running well enough to drive again. It still is not 100% but that didn't stop me from going cruising today. A friend and I went for a shakedown run with his newly rebuilt 85 4Runner. We just did some flex testing and goofed around a bit. It was well over 100 and I was running the 40 topless, so my time was limited before I melted....lol

Funny thing is the BLM ranger was there minutes before those pix were taken. He wanted us to move as we were in blind spot in the canyon. It's a super busy area for off road use and is over run with side by sides. We agreed and moved along.

Repaired the wallowed out and badly rusty spring perches on the wagon today. Got it all back together with the original springs. Driveshaft looks much happier now.

Took the wagon on a little adventure to Sedona this past weekend. Run the majority of the better trails in the area. Visited some cliff dwellings, and even some nice cool running water. Got woke up by the sounds of about 8 hot air balloons taking off in the morning. Wagon cruised on thru easy pezy style all weekend.

Very good times! Was really glad to have been along for this run. Perfect weather in Sedona. Wheeled Van Deren cabin trail and Greasy Spoon/Pipeline with the crew before camping out Sat night off FR525. Big thanks to @JackA for having me along and showing me the lines on Broken Arrow. Here are a few from Saturday

A few more

Couple more pix from the trip. First is the wake up shot. Second is the top speed on the way home. It was flat ground and the speedo is slow by about 5 mph due to 33'' tires.
F motor was rollin':grinpimp:

I have been using the 40 as my daily driver for the last 2 weeks now. All is good. I stay off the interstate as it's alittle sketchy about 50mph plus with no top or roll bar. Also, I still have some vibes from the rear that need investigating.
I swapped the "correct" larger mirror head on for a better view.

Got the rear hatch all assembled. I even got new oem lock cylinders for the hatch and driver door. Unfortunately, my masking job was better than the POs job, so you can see some of the old over spray on the weather strip. I still think it turned out decent.

Did some surgery to the speedometer and odometer. Between the 2 I have, I was able to make 1 good one. Took awhile but it all finally works as it should. I zeroed it out for a fresh start. Already got 13 test miles too:grinpimp:
