I have decided I want to upgrade to new LX570 and am going to sell my 2008 Toyota Landcruiser. Any advice on best way to market a LC200 best? Not too many on used market and mine is 100% OEM and in great shape. Any advice appreciated.

Craigslist?

Pay for Autotrader?

2008

Never Off road.
Hwy miles almost entirely.

Thanks for the input.

I've bought and sold on AT, CL and eBay. If you aren't in a hurry, throw it on CL and see what happens. I normally have gotten as much traffic there as I have on AT. eBay is a little squirrely if you haven't done it before, but sometimes you can get a really nice price if you play it right. I usually started the price low just to get some bids, but obviously set your floor where you ultimately want to be. Get ready for a slew of folks wanting to know your floor, or deal offline.

I would give Craigslist a try. I've had good luck with them in the past. The only problem is you'll probably get lots of calls from scammers and tire kickers, but you just have to weed out the bad ones. Just some words of advice, go to a good detail shop and have them detail it inside and out. Clean the door jambs, have them dust the vents, corners, etc. Clean the carpets and seats. Also, if your floor mats are looking rough, I would say look on ebay for a new set. Between the detail and mats, you may spend $300, but it might be worth it in the long run. Also, every time I sell a car I go through all of my service records (I hope you have these) and have them in a folder in order. Buyers are usually blown away by this and it shows that you have taken good care of the car.

Just curious, what are you looking to sell it for? Color, pictures, you could probably sell it right here.

If the car did not give you any problems - I would not sell it. how much you want to get for it? max is $35,000 your rig is way on the mileage that will be killing attraction.

I am thinking $31,500. Car is super clean and detailed recently. I did the recall on original style all weather mats and just got the new all weather mats installed 6 months ago so they look like new. I will get some pics up this weekend. Love the rig. I just want something new and may very well end up with the LX.

ya you will sell it for $31K

You should ask more than $31k, jmho.

I had a customer sell his 08 with 100,000 miles for $40,000 to a dealership here in Louisville a few months ago. Crazy I know but that's what happened. Good luck I'm sure it'll sell quick.

I just bought this loaded 2011 LX570 with approx 28k miles for $56k with perfect One owner Lexus documentation and its a Texas truck, no salt exposure. I think your pricing is about right.

I'm in Seattle and looking for a used 200. Is there a way to send a private message? (New to posting here) I will watch CL & AT too.

Wow, I'm getting excited, I think next year might be there year that the early 200's will start to break the 30k mark.

GLWTS!

I remember when the 2008's came out I had just bought a cherry 2004 LX470 with around 27k miles and had a 2008 SL550 so I was not in the market for a new LC. The economy crashed and the local Toyota dealer had a white one he could not give away. He had it for over a year and sold it for under $54k. How times have changed.
