Hi all.
Advice on aftermarket fuel pumps?
OEM Toyota ones are about $400 AUD ($270 USD) each!
I'm replacing both my tanks due to them being rusty ( the previous owner ran it only on LPG for like, forever, I'm guessing), so I thought I'd replace both fuel pumps at the same time.
Some of the cheap ($50+ AUD) ones listed on Ebay seem to require wiring in a connector, requiring soldering and insulating, which I would prefer not to have to do.
Also, some of them also are reported shorter than the genuine ones.
Any advice on brands that ideally are
A. the correct length,
B. do not require soldering a new connector on, and
C. that are reliable,
would be much appreciated.
Ideally from a company in Australia, but happy to purchase elsewhere assuming they ship to Aus.
The gaskets, clips, and seals I will be getting OEM parts from partsouq.com.
Thanks for any advice.

First, I'm not expert - I haven't had to change my pump yet.

That having been said, here in US the only other pumps that I know of that seem to have a pretty good reputation are the DELPHI pumps. About $125 on rockauto for my 100. Search DELPHI on mud for more info.

So, it's my understanding that Denso sold it's fuel pump business to Aisan (Not Aisin) Manufacturing and that, yes, they're very expensive.
Anyone listing Denso pumps for our rigs is out-of-stock or has an un-updated listing.

I went with Delphi, although I wired in the OEM electrical connection for the pump so It would fit without slop or extra play
like the aftermarket connector seemed to create.

No problems now at about 2000 miles later but time will tell.
I've read of one person experiencing a failure with Delphi, no
idea whether that's an outlier or a trend waiting to happen.

Doesn't matter that the body of it is a bit shorter as it connects on the bottom
and the bottom fits the fuel pump assembly just fine.

Many people trust Delphi parts for a number of applications beyond Toyota.

I put in a Delphi about 7k miles ago. It plugged right in, no issues.

Yeah, it connects fine, we just noticed that the metal receiver connection slots were wider than the pins that fit into them so we used the OEM connector by splicing it in with those "Solder-Seal" wire connectors. Probably not needed, just an "extra ounce of prevention" approach.

Might look into Walbro. They make a Land Cruiser pump Made in the USA. I don’t recall about the connector.
