Thought i would share my past weekend trip up to S.Pittsburg, TN area to this park. http://www.adventureoffroadpark.net/
Really nice place with new pavillion, bathrooms and showers with large base camp area. Reminded me of how Golden Mtn is setup where you are close and can be in & out of trails then back to camp quickly. Trails are marked green, blue, black. Green trails are by no way considered "easy", we often thought the blue trails were difficult but well mapped. Black trails i would say are more for buggies or trucks with lockers F&R, min 35"s, armor and winch.

I think this would be a great place for us to go for a weekend trip. I would say two 1/2 days of riding would cover all the trails. Maybe possible to do all in one day but i would say start early, eat lunch on the trail and wheel all night.

The owner Tom http://www.toms4x4superstore.com/ is a super guy and was glad to make trail recommendations and even rescued me late one night. Most of the crowd are jeeps, we only had maybe 3 yotas and probably 50-75 jeeps so Ridge would love it.

Sorry I don't have a ton of pics, I'd love to go back for a weekend trip. Camping is $5/night, trail fee is $25/day/person (12&under free). Very easy to get to off I-24, 5-10 minutes from the exit so fuel, food and such is nice to have if you need it. Let me know what you guys think.

This large field/camping area is plenty for all of Gsmtr but not enough trails to stay busy all week.

Jesus. That's a helluva weekend.
I guess a Warn will be in your future to replace that HF winch? What broke on it? Any idea?

i need to do some investigation but the solenoid box just clicks when you go forward or backward. i can barely pull/push the cable in so that's why i just wrapped it up. do you think that motor has brushes? that's the first issue i've had with that thing otherwise it's worked fine for a year....but that's about what HF stuff lasts right?

Ouch!!

Interesting. The trail fee, "per person", so for 2 adults, it would be $50/day? No passenger rate?

What was the trail makeup? I have been up around those hills, so I am guessing the terrain is also similar to GMP, mostly dirt with rock outcrops to play on, slicker than a grease pig if it even looks like rain...

Will have to check out the website.

Edit: $25 for driver/ $5 for passenger, sounds much better. <- per website

I read that it us common for the bolts to all come loose on the ends but that does not sound like your issue. Mine is similar (an Engo). I took it apart and sealed the case up and tightened all bolts at the time of installation.
Maybe the motor are itself.

Here's what happens when you try a black trail without sliders. Doh
I don't believe sliders would have helped much :). Looks like you needed an Exo!!

Yes, trails much like gmp, the small amount of rain on Friday along with fall leaves made it slippery for sure. I stand corrected about rider fees, sorry bout that.

My HF winch quit working after a year of use as well. I followed an online procedure to see if the motor would run when the solenoids were bypassed and it did not. Took it to a motor repair shop and the motor was seized due to water intrusion. The cleaned it up and replaced a bearing and its all good to go. I would say the Cove deep water crossings did me in. Don't throw it away. Get it fixed and get back on the trail.

Go advice. What did the repairs cost ya?

Around $100. A little steep considering the cost of a HF winch, but it seems it was the correct thing to do, at least in principle.

Agreed. I recently had a very old Makita angle grinder repaired. I think it cost me about $5 less than buying a new one but to me that its a win.
