Adjusting Center arm/idler arm (1 Viewer)

I just finished swapping old pin style center arm for the "NEW" style tapered unit. There is, as I have read, an adjusting sequence for that arm/pivot and ....Would someone please repeat it?

I think its, tighten then back off 1/2 turn........but I won't sware to it :

I tighten them, back it off a half turn, and make sure there is no slop after backing it off, and if there is, then I bring it back in a 'flat' at a time, so long as it still moves freely, and will allow the steering to return to center..
