I would like to simply add quality bluetooth capability to my 2000 LX with Nakamichi 6 disc and DVD player.

I currently have a cigarette lighter BT FM transmitter that gets the job done, but it doesn't produce the sound quality I would like to have.

I don't want a new head unit and prefer the look of the original. I get all the functionality I want from automations and my phone holder, just looking to improve sound quality.

From what I've read so far, the "easy" solutions won't work due to the 22pin connector (please correct me if I'm wrong), stuff like -

Reading through these threads,
I'm wondering if I can get a male and a female 22pin connector, make a jumper/dongle, and splice in a bluetooth unit? The purpose of the jumper/dongle simply being to save the OEM wiring from my hack job. I feel like this could work in theory, but I'm not sure.

Also, I saw a thread about soldering an aux cable to some AM terminals. I don't want to use an aux, but I was wondering if I would get good sound quality from plugging a bluetooth receiver into the aux and using it that way?

I am entirely uninterested in getting a new head unit, apple carplay, android auto, or any of that stuff. Do not care. Right now my phone connects to the BT FM transmitter and starts playing music (Bixby automation) without leaving my pocket, exactly as I want, I just want better audio.

I found this for non DVD 6 CD player: Car Bluetooth MIC Adapter AUX Audio Cable For Toyota 5+7 Pin Camry Corolla Lexus or
Yomikoo Car Audio Bluetooth 5.0 Music Adapter Car Kit For Toyota 5+7 Pin
Seller says it is not compatible with the XM or 6-DVD player in Landcruiser.

I had apple car play installed for less than a month. I went back to the factory radio and a FM transmitter. The Nakamichi Android auto and toyota amp was making a noise even with a RCA noise filter could not eliminate it completely. MIght have to ditch the factory am completely but I like the factory radio as it is so easy to operate with bigger buttons when driving at speeds.
