Acceleration cuts after washing engine at carwash

I have had the same problem. It was the dizzy cap in my case.

Paid to have my engine degreased. It would cut out for a little bit. I was going to pull the distributor cap and dry it out but it dried out before I could get to it that night.

What the other member was talking about were the seals on the valve cover that work along with the spark plug boots to keep water out. In order to change those seals you'll need to get a valve cover gasket kit, it will come with the valve cover gasket along with 6 seals for the spark plug tube holes.

Oh, I have that kit. Keep meaning to do valve cover and seals. Just need to get a round tuit.

At any rate, sitting all day in the hot dry weather did the trick.

Some day I'll re-pack my connectors with silicone.
