Any update on Eric?

Any update on Eric?

He is out of the hospital and is staying with his siter in Mobile this week. Someone has to be with him full time for now, I'm not sure how long that will last. He has an appointment back at UAB later this week. For now, the spinal fluid leak has stopped and Eric seemed in very good spirits. We had about a 30 minute conversation on the phone last night.

He did tell me that his head was shaved with staples in it from the last surgery. I'll be talking to him later today and I'll post again.

Bodean-this is also posted on the GA and SC boards. I thought that would cover the people that know Eric personally.

Thanks...let him know that we think about him!

Holy s***. Eric!! I have been away from the board for a while.

Paypal will be sent in the AM.

Updates? Tell Eric to post if he can. We'd love to hear from him.

Later,

Eric has a follow up in Birmingham tomorrow and after that he should be back in Auburn tomorrow or Friday. He doesn't have much energy and really doesn't like to even talk that much with tubes up his nose-those should be gone tomorrow though.

He can't do much of anything for the next 6 weeks, he isn't even supposed to lift anything over 10 pounds in that time frame. I should be talking with him tomorrow afternoon and I'll post another update.

Thanks Bret. How much money has been donated? Sure hope that will ease his mind about the bills. He has enough to worry about. Tell him to heal quick. We'd like nothing more than to see him at the Crawl in October!

I want to thank everyone for all their generousity and prayers. It has not been a smooth, but luckily my truck and get over the bumps! I'm home after 5 surgeries in 8 days. I have a minimum of 6 weeks of very slow recovery including not lifting over 10lbs. The doctors will not allow me back to work yet, something about being taking under with anesthia that many times and it remaining in my body for weeks is not good. I am getting around, but slowly, but that's OK since last thursday I had been laying flat in a hospital bed so long that I could stand on my own power. I've lost over 40lbs, they shaved my head so they could cut it open at a few places and I have what is called a VP shunt, it allows CerebralSpinal Fluid to drain into my stomach, it's all hidden inside me, you would know it. Fluid should be at 5 to 10 psi and 15 being high, well mine wa at 28 and could not be controlled, it was busting the patches. So, after the shunt was placed, the last surgeries were performed to get the patch to work.
There's alot more to it, but I'll share that on the trail!
The Lord has something for me to on Earth so you're stuck with me for a little while longer.
Thank You everyone!

Great to hear from you Eric! We'll have to get used to a skinny Eric I guess. Now you can run around "bustin' a sag" with your pants. Keep us posted.
