I purchased a 96 LC recently. I knew of this Forum prior to my purchase and used some of it's VAST info to guide me. The PO did not want much for the Cruiser ($6200) and I wondered why? I checked all fluids, Birfs, tried all switches and knobs, drove it etc.. He had a number of Invoices, many from Toyota. Exhaust, O2 sensors, Front axle service, TPS, Starter Assbly, brakes, Head Gasket. The truck ran flawlessly at 145,000 miles, better than my wife's POS Caravan w/50k (dealer serviced). I wrote a check and drove it home. In the months since I purchased the LC I have changed all fluids with guidance from the good people on this Forum. The low pressure power steering lines blew ( the P/O had alot of Route 80 rot on the LC. He ran from NY to Eastern Pa weekly and apparently never rinsed after flossing) I am soon to be tackling the PHH with a total flush and refill of the Cooling System. The PHH is OK at 146K, no leakage or bulging but I don't want any suprises. I put an OME Steering Stabilizer on after removing the old one to get at Power steering lines. In the near future I plan a complete tune up and possibly a radio/speaker upgrade. Cosmetically the LC was good but I have rust on the gate at the lower left- a good body shop friend of mine will soon be tackling this one. In a nutshell I want to thank all of you who have contributed to this Forum, each post is a little nugget of gold and has been a great help to me.

Welcome, sounds like you got a steal on your truck, should be good to go for a long time with a little work. Congrats
