Is that a 3.5 or 4.25 turn box?

You DO NOT want the 3.5 turn ......

Georg @ Valley Hybrids & Cruiser Brothers

It's 4.25. That was the first thing I checked when I opened the box since their website doesn't specify.

You had given me that Napa part # when I ordered the rest of my stuff from you but I couldn't get it to work in the local store here or on their website.

Thanks for the input guys. I went with 27-6537 from Summit Racing. $99+$75 core charge. Box came in today and I can verify that it is indeed a 36 spline 13/16 input shaft with flared fittings and 4 mounting holes.

Jason

NAPA # is 88277088 for this same box. $129.00 plus core.

2.5 turn box Dave?!

I bet that's a good time on the freeway!

First time I pulled out of the driveway I drove over the curb and just barely missed the mailbox. It took a few minutes to get used to it.
Definitely no steering lag. Makes it into an FJ Countach but better looking.
Still it's only the second biggest surprise I've had doing a swap. When I was in my 20s I did my second swap on a friends truck. We went to the junkyard and asked for a Camaro box. It had the O-ring fittings so we had to have search for hose parts. It never occurred to us to ask which Camaro it came from and it didn't have a pitman arm. Did you know that the 3rd gen Camaro of the 80s had the box mounted behind the front wheels? The pitman arm is supposed to mount forward like a 60 or 80 series. It Saginaw world , that's a reverse rotation. When you mount it
in the conventional FJ40 conversion position with a rearward pointing pitman, left means right and right means left.
Let that be a note to those doing conversions. If the pitman arm is pointing forward, you can't just swap it 180 unless you are one of those very
adaptive people or have dyslexic muscle memory
