That's nice. Hopefully I'll have my FJ60 up and running sometime soon. Still waiting on parts coming in from the mainland though. Coming by rowboat from Cali it seems. Oh well, I like those pics. How far up the leeward side is that trail and is it still open?

Yea, those rowboats take a long time to get here. LMK if you need help with your 60.
Those trails are at the end of the road at yokohama bay. you go through the radar station gaurd shack and up the mountain. I dont think they will be closing any time soon.
There is also a busted up 60 at Angles towing on the leeward side. Not too many parts but still a few. I also have a extra grill, valance, headlights and headlight windows if you are needing any of those.

I had a blast anyway adn did not get sunburned on my fair skin.

Thanks again for the wheeling trip.

Dan
must be that central cali sun that already fried your skin. I know how miserable it can get out there in the summer.
Next time your out here just give me a little advanced notice and I'll set something up that will be more fun, but you won't be able to run off in the early afternoon this time.:D

That's not too bad of a drive from here. Much better than going to Ala Moana and back, not to mention much better scenery and less traffic. Right now, I've almost got it working right. Hopefully in the next week or so.

Im doing a spring over next weekend and then going on a trip after that, so I wont be able to go anywhere until december. After that I will be planning to go up there again.

What a great idea! Set up a little grass hut on the beach and sell "landcruiser adventures". I was just on the outerbanks of NC this week and there was a guy renting landcruisers to travel the beaches in style.

Yea I just got some ltb's, still havent got to use them yet. The guy with the chevy has a pretty sick truck, used to be a 2wd auto. he put a d44 up front and a ford 8.8 w/ lockrite out back. Also converted it to 5speed. He has broken a lot of things on it lately but its getting really solid now. If you wana go sometime LMK.

So how are the LTBz treating you so far. I hear that they suck on the street but mean on the trail. How are they road wise for you?
Will

not that bad on the road. A little squirley under hard braking. I had them in the mud at K-point the other night when we pulled an abandoned car out. They didnt let me down then. I guess the test will be if I can get up to peacock flats when its wet up there. They werent that great in the sand but I didnt air them down. So far I like them, but when Im done with the SOA I will be wanting a larger tire.
