Also, due to requests I will be offering a heavy duty version of the bumper I made for my 80. Thanks and hope to be getting back on my truck soon and continuing the build. But it's nice to help others with theirs.

Out of curiosity, how much weight to you anticipate the heavy duty version adding? What other differences would there be?

I'm very interested in ordering a front bumper, and sliders that are ready to be welded on. I'm partial to something with a kickout. I've got all pro's sliders on my '11 taco. The kickout has saved me thousands in repair bills. I'm less concerned about pressurizing them, as I was going to use the stock auxiliary gas tank location for that.

I'm also looking forward to seeing your rear bumper design!

Holy crap man.

Very impressive.

Wish I had your skills!

Hey sorry for the late response! Been really busy and took a month off to help wife with new baby.had a rough pregnancy this time around. Nothing like when my son was born. I'm almost done with a small run of these 80 series bumpers for some members on here and expo portal. I'll be starting the heavy duty version immediately after I finish those. I have a heavy duty version sold already to a local guy with a 97 Lexus. We just went over custom options Saturday. And tried my bumper on his truck as well to ensure fitment and help him picture what different tube configurations would look like. my 80 series bumper has had some design changes to a couple areas. Nothing that changes the look in any way. But increased the width of the recovery pockets slightly to accept a standard winch hook or shackle in there as well as the Prolink. Changed/beefed up the mounting area where the winch bolts down. And increased material thickness of the 2x3 angle iron (from 1/4 to 3/8") that spans between the pockets. So as far as the heavy duty version goes. The center section is the same as standard. But the wing material thickness is changing from 10 gauge to 3/16". there might be a couple other changes but I won't know for sure until I get into the build. The Lexus build will also be getting integrated driving lights as well as full wrap brush guard.
As far as the weld in sliders go you mentioned interest in. I have mine cut to length and will be cutting a corner out of the 3x6 rectangular tube and then plating it to look more like a mini boat side once installed. I think it will look/function better and compliment the swept up angles on my front bumper and hopefully soon rear. Here's a couple before and after pics of the Lexus with my bumper. I actually let him borrow mine for a Canadian hunting trip he's going on while I build his to spec.

Sorry for the radio silence bro. I wish I had new stuff of "mine" to show. Lol been building stuff for everybody else's rigs and balancing family time. But I'm still planing on building all the stuff I mentioned previously on my truck. It's gonna be sweet when done.. As far as new stuff I might be putting Dana 60's under that new xterra I did the rocker sliders on over the winter. Been talking with the owner about it. He's on his third front diff.

Hey, congrats on the little one!!

Just plowed through this thread!! I must say, i really love your work!
The most genious of all your creative work, must be the inbound shackle mounts!! ;)
I'd now planning to fab that into my bumper, for a better look, and to get off those big horns i have sticking out.
I always dig simple and sturdy design. It's a paradox, that it always is NOT simple to create simpe solutions!

Keep at it, cant wait to get inspired by your next work!

I love this bumper! What estimate do you have on pricing for a basic HD bumper with the winch cutout? Also what size lift is the Lexus running?

Thanks ! I don't have the price for a HD bumper set yet. I should be finishing up this one tomorrow. If not definitely this weekend. I'll find out the lift info on the Lexus when he comes back for install and let you know.

Thank you all again for the positive words and support of my work! I'll also be starting the design/build of the rear bumper finally next week. This will also be an expedition based design and will compliment my front bumper as well as have a few nice features.
Thank you all again and have a great holiday!!

Just picked mine up from Rich last week, I'm very happy with it and would definitely suggest it to anyone looking for an 80 bumper.

Mine is primered at the moment, but I will be rolling on Monstaliner very soon.
