in my '91, when I am at idle, the AC compressor cuts in and out, getting things hot and sticky --

-- but when I am at driving RPMs, the thing blows cold as can be --

-- any ideas?

thanks --

not that anyone's holding their breath for a response on this, but I spoke to c-dan this AM and he said this is normal -- esp. with a system that has been retrofitted to 134 --

I have the same deal...but mine never gets hot inside.

I run R134 retro

What you need is the two speed automatic rpm clutch for the alternater pulley. You'll find in the parts cataloge along with the muffler bearings.
