Any of you care to shed some light on this for me? Bought a new to me compressor which I was told came off an FJ60. The line connection angles are different though, but the compressor physically is identical.
Numbers off the old one 047200-1960
New one 047200-6910

Both have 6P148A on them. Google didn’t come up with a whole lot. I can swap the connections so it’s no biggie, I’m just curious as to what it came off of.

Old on top, new on bottom.

That compressor body was also on a few Mitsubishi models in the early '80's so my guess is it's off one of those.

Thanks for the response. Weird thing is it came from a local guy with a magical stash of land cruiser only parts. Not saying it’s not off a mitsu, just saying with this dudes collection of land cruiser only stuff, it would be doubtful.

And @1972FJ55 , I wish I would’ve done this when I still lived in Tucson so I could’ve consulted you about it. I’m in N Phoenix now so it’s a long drive. The compressor came from Marana.

Tim Hill? Could be off of a non NA engine or some other oddball setup. I know that between my 84 60 DD and my 83 60 parts rig the AC hose routing was different but I'd have to go out and see if the hose connectors are also different.

And Go Rex! for the ID and the win!

Yep, from Tim. Super nice guy, I could’ve talked with him for hours. Maybe it is, in fact, off a 60 then, just a different year. Mine is an 83. The thread pitch and size is identical though, so I just swapped them and it went back together fine. I have to evac and recharge it after work to know if it’ll work, but I don’t have any reason to think it won’t.
