Hello all--
A friend called me yesterday asking about his a/c system on his '96 LC, noting that he could not hear the typical rpm change when the a/c was switched on. Upon investigation yesterday afternoon we determined that his a/c clutch is not engaging. I pulled the connector on the back side of the compressor and did not see the expected 12V when the a/c was switched on, which started me worrying.
A couple more details: the lights all come on as if the a/c was working; the a/c does NOT engage w/ defrost either; at one point it looked like we got voltage to the connector, but it was low (~3-4V.)
Any thoughts on where to look next??
Thanks--
