Having an issue that I'm working out (98 LC100). AHC wouldn't raise and learned that if there wasn't enough charge, it won't work.

Had the battery and alternator tested and the alt failed. It appears to be a new alternator, but it was installed in Japan and have no idea of the history or brand so I decided to replace it with a reman. It died again and I had the battery tested and it tested bad. Again, older JDM battery so i replaced it. And...it still dies. I checked the alt-s fuse and that's good, so I've narrowed it down to:

1) bad reman alt. I'm going to take it off and retest.
2) bad alt plug. Since I have to take it off, I might as well replace it.
3) bad alt ground. That's this picture. Doesn't look great and I'm taking it off anyway.

Any other things I should check? I need to run volt/amp on it, too.

I would replace the entire cable from the alternator pos to the battery first. Had similar issue on my 99 LX

As an update; the alt/batt wire was corroded and ended up arcing out. Alt tested good, but not going to run it with that post. Bought the big 5 wire kit from a member here and then buying an 09 130amp sequoia alt. Also doing the tensioner and a 170 degree tstat, since I'm in here already. Good time to double check the timing belt.
