1997 Collector's Edition Land Cruiser. I bought truck new in November, 1997. Truck was my wife's daily driver and has mostly highway miles. 261,191 miles, factory lockers, center diff switch, spare tire carrier, ARB front bumper, PIAA fog lights, 4"OME lift w/castor correction kit, 12k Warn winch( not connected or used for years), in-dash CB (no antenna), second battery tray, factory 3rd row seats, factory embroidered "Land Cruiser Collectors Edition" floor mat carpets, Husky Liner floor mats for all areas of floor, after-market front dash pull-out cup holder (this was touted at the time the truck was new as the first after-market option
), factory service manual, factory aluminum wheels w/315 BFG AT's 40% tread, tow package, cold air, original paint, factory moon roof, all glass good with no cracks, front seat side windows have been tinted to match the factory privacy tint on remaining windows, body perfect except for small dent in center of hood, two small dents on roof (both hurricane damage), and a small dent in left rear quarter panel from spare tire rack opening too far and spare tire hitting it. Absolutely no rust. It is pre-wired for rooftop rack lights and antenna (roof rack installed in past has been removed.)Power steering pump beginning to groan at times. Rear seal leaks oil and has for last 100k miles.After market Alpine stereo head not working properly, all other stereo components working good. Leather on front seats only are damaged/worn, 2nd and 3rd row seats excellent condition. Front passenger seat no longer moves Forward/backward with seat switch, Neutral safety switch has been bi-passed. Pistons that hold hood open fail to hold hood up in very hot weather. Both front windows no longer open/close properly. Auto antenna no longer working. Wear/tear/damage on after-market wood trim on dash/arm rests. Although truck is built, it was my wife's daily driver. Many miles are highway miles with numerous 3600+ mile round trips from Florida to Canada, as well as numerous 1800+ mile round trips from Florida to Upstate, SC. Other than the front seat skins and the after-market wood trim, the interior is in good condition.
Truck was involved in a minor accident about 33,000 miles. Damage was to front left fender, hood, drivers door and end of left rear quarter. After getting truck back from dealer shop repairs, I advised the front axle was still damaged and had frame checked to find it was out square. After a legal battle with my insurance company that lasted over 10 months, they agreed to further repair the vehicle by installing a new frame, a complete front axle and all associated axle parts/diff, new front fender, fender liner and driver's door skin.
