97 Lexus LX450 head unit trouble

I am having trouble with the cd changer in my 450. It is throwing the code "err14". I am not a big fan of the 6 disk changer anyway. I want to keep the truck in original condition, so I dont want to get an aftermarket unit for it. My question is:
Will a head unit that has an in dash single disc cd player from a newer truck fit in my 450? Does the newer LX470 have a single disc unit that would fit? Or maybe a Tundra, or Tacoma? The head unit from a 470 would be my preference. I have searched the site, and the web thoroughly and cannot find a solution. Any info would be great!

I replaced my changer with a used oned I got from the classifieds on here. I don't remember what error code I was getting, but a simple replacement fixed it. It's super easy to replace.

Thanks for the reply. The info was much appreciated, but does anyone know if a double din unit from a 470 would fit? Or one from a Tacoma or the like? Thanks a lot!

Scion head unit is a common swap.
