Best use ever for a 3" body lift!!

Bumpstop and shock extensions to keep tires out of the body and increase downtravel:

I welded these, so if you find some shocks chillin on the trail, grab 'em for me will ya?

So, I need to wire up this front elocker. I have read a ton of threads on here, but I am probably worse with wiring than I am with fab.

I dont care about using a factory switch and I dont want to spend the money on the inchworm or 12vguy, if I dont have to. Can I just run a regular switch? I dont need a light or whatever, I will know when its on. Can someone help with the absolute most simple and cheap way to wire this bad boy? Please?

I am confused about the cage? It looks like in the first pics its going to be an exo and run along the drip rails. But in the later pics it looks like it fully internal. Do the two tie together somehow?

Question about the ARB bumper modification, when you do hit something, did moving it that close to the body just make it a damage multiplier? Do you think it will still retain it's strength in event of a good jolt? Part of the beauty of that bumper is that if you do hit something, you have room for error to save hood, lights, fenders, etc, do you think that is still the case?

I like bringing it in for looks, just wondering how effective as armor it will be now.

Exactly. Basicly internal cage with roof sliders and A pillar outside. It will make a lot more sense once we get the frontmost internal tube in there. The halo bar will have 6 short pieces of tube going upward to the plates in the roof, which will be bolted through the roof to similar plates on the outside welded to the roof sliders. Clear as mud?:D

I gave up concern for body damage a loong time ago. :hillbilly:

But, honestly I dont see it budging. Also, dont forget there will be bars inside the fender from the A-pillar up to the hoop on the ARB.

Actually, that DOES make sense oddly enough, haha. Cant wait to see the finished product. I am taking notes.

Nice!
I would have suggested selling the ARB rather than cutting it up... You got a fabber obviously and he could have tubed up the front for you and you'd end up with more monies in your pocket....
I LOVE how the tube turns in at the back of the front wheel well and will be copying that idea on Lorena...

Got busy for a while, getting back on it Sat. Should have it back on all fours and a lot more cage progress.

Also, if time permits, going to sleeve the bent rear control arms with leftover (1-3/4 .120 DOM) cage tubing, looks like it is the right size to slide right over the factory arms?

It was pretty bent up already and we are pushing it time wise with both of our schedules. Test and tune ride is Haloween weekend, then off to beat the snot out of it at Windrock 2nd weekend of Nov.

tell me more! PM if necessary.

You wanna come? Come on!! I'll PM details.

I was gonna say Grey Rock and Morris Mtn are on my to-do list, we should get up. How far are you from those?
