Doesn't look right to me, trim doesn't look right, wheels don't look right, center caps don't look right, anniversary logo doesn't look right. By right I mean, from 1997. Trim should be graphite grey, wheels should be two-tone with inner lip grey, center caps look like 93-94 years, logo was dark gray never seen with good lettering. All that bolt-on stuff makes me want to run or start hacking it all off

A/C doesn't look right either, should be a climate control unit like LX. Never seen a two-tone 40th before either.

I say a clone with beautiful leather and junky bolt-on's.

He would let it go for 12k without all the accessories ,hmm i am thinking about it,i don't know....

The guy drill the hole on the roof for those stupid lights,i am not interested anymore

Looks like a home made 40th like the other posters said. The rig looks clean though and it had what appears to be low miles so that's worth some coin on its own. I'm always warey of people who put fake stickers on their vehicles though. If the miles check out and it's as clean as stated 12-14k is not out of this world.

I thought the 40th had two tone Leather standard??
I asked the owner if he did something with the seats,he said he bought it like this in 2010 with 86xxx miles

I personally think it looks like a good truck at a decent price.

I'm surprised how attacking people are when someone asks an opinion sometimes. The Craigslist add said NOTHING about it being a 40th anniv truck and it isnt being marketed as one. He prob just liked the cool decal and knew it was the same year. How many folks on here put fj40 emblems on their 80's because it looks cool. Doesn't make us shady.

Again it looks good to me at a fair price. Good luck in your search for one. I'm sure you'll find one to love like we all have!

Not a 40th, but looks like it could be a decent start, nonetheless, looks being operative and if one thinks that low mileage is always an indicator of minimal PM to be performed, one's an idiot.

Plan on an additional $2k worth of bearings. seals, labor and incidentals, unless it's been done recently.

I would drive that off the man's property with the ghey FJC light covers, but I think it looks like a solid start.

You're probably right, another indicator of his bad taste beyond the covers. Haha.

I have seen two or three that have semi-misrepresented a 40th, so think that's where the skepticism here comes from.

There was a 1996 40th with 93k listed in NE Texas in 2012 for $16k....
