96 cruiser , steering knuckle / birf question ?

Hello to all and thank you for reading. I am getting ready to do my birfs up front , and in the process in getting all the necessary parts I need. The only part number I can't find as of yet is the bearing outer races located on the actual axle themselves, 4 of them needed , 2 on each side of the front axle,,, once you take the entire knuckle, birf and everything out, and after you pull the oil seal, the axle will have to big holes one on top and one on bottom ,,, I can not find these part numbers anywhere. I have my FSM,,, on page SA-15 first top picture is what I am looking for. Any help would be appreciated.

I think you're referring to the trunion bearings? Catalog # 45611F. I THINK the part number is 90366-20003, might want to verify first.

I got those already,,,, the races I need are truly a part of the axle assembly itself,,, right on the ball end of the front axle on both sides.

I was trying to post a pic of the front axle housing off that same site,,, when you look at this picture you will see the ends of the front axle,,, there are a top and bottom holes 2 on each side,, this is where the races I am looking for are located.

Ah I gotcha. I don't think those races are sold separately - they come with the new trunion bearings.

What kind of grease are folks on here using to pack their birf s. I know the manualcalls for molybdenum disulfide lithium base grease nlgi no.2,,, any one use a product from crc. Cv joint moly grease in a tube? Any others?

Yup, it should all come in the same little box.

I believe you are talking about the trunion bearings? The races came with my bearings when I bought them. That may be why there isn't a part #.

^ 2nd that. I just got mine last week....both the race in the bearing are in the box.
