So finally made time to muscle, wrestle and finesse my OPOR sliders on with huge help and moral support from @thedoughboy . Man, these things are burly and designed without a centimeter to spare anywhere. I'm real pleased with service, product and customer support from Metal Tech. I got the deal they offered back in May to 'Mud members. For those of you that have done the install:

a) It looks like the rear heater hose up above the catalytic converter and the bolt going through the threaded slider plate have no choice but to touch. Looking at the photos, is that what you ended up with? Like I said, there really isn't a centimeter to spare once you have the rear plate butted up against the body mount. Wondering if that is just how it is or if I need to do something to keep them separated.

b) I'm not taking my fender flares off (yet) and wonder what you did for the cosmetic look of where the front and rear flares touch the slider. My front flares are actually sitting on the sliders, and once they were tightened up caused the flare to bow out a little. Did you cut off the bottom of the flare?

Also the instructions don't call for the heat shield on the door side of the catalytic converter to be removed, but I don't think I could have gotten my slider on without taking it off FYI.

That's what I think I'm going to do @thatcabledude I'm looking at using some of the rubber from the front mud flaps as trim. It looks like if I trim enough off the flare to be off the slider, I can still cut in and fit on just the top of the mud flap. Trying to keep it looking clean.

Cool, I am ready to pull the trigger on the same sliders, a "scenic route" took its toll on the steps/running boards & I realize how much easier it would have been had I had them. Question, I'm guessing its a 2 man job? Also I would try to put some sort of rubber in between the hose & bolt and or shorter bolt. Thanks for posting.

@rvdb I've seen posts of folks doing it alone, but can't imagine how. It was a two man and two floor jack job. Lots of finessing and literally a piece-of-paper-thin gap between the rocker and the slider. Good call on the rubber - @thedoughboy was saying the same thing. For all the posts I've seen of people installing these OPOR sliders, I'm still curious to see if anyone else had the same issue. Also, did my first miles with them on today and would recommend suspension prior to install, if you haven't already. I can feel these beasts weighing on my 20 year old OEM suspension!
