Add some turn signals and a mirror and take it over to DMV. That's what my buddy did so he could ride it in ABSP not for the streets.

Nope, Mark you can no longer retrofit for the street. They have to come that way from the factory now. And there are rumors they're even trying to revoke back conversions!... it's a bunch of BS!
Not entirely true. You can't register a red sticker vehicle for on-road use. A lot of two-wheeled Green sticker vehicles can be registrered for street use if they meet the requirments listed in CHP directive 888. There are also some vin numbers to avoid.
