When we say the 9011 in the low beam will have a shortened life, how long are we estimating? half the normal life?

I put the 9011s in High Beams, with LEDs in Low Beams.
The HIRs do not even compare to a $40 set of Ebay LEDS.

So, I installed my 9011 bulbs in my 93 today, found that the o'ring seal is smaller diameter than the 9006 bulbs, will allow moisture / dirt in. What's the solution to this problem?
Searched, didn't find anything in this forum.
Thanks,

Just replaced mine today. If you take the O-ring from the old bulb and slide it past the O-ring on the new bulb, so it fits up against the bulb base, it will make a perfect seal and provide just the right amount of tension.

So, to recap....the O-ring on the new bulb stays where it is, the O-ring from the old bulb is slipped on past it.

You now have two O-rings. The first is in the proper groove of the new bulb, the second fits against the bulb base that rotates into the headlight housing. This works equally well with the LX470 when upgrading its high beam bulb.

Should have taken a pic, but this description should be enough.
