Alright i am new to the form so i don't know if this has been discussed.... well im looking into buying a toyota v 6 tocoma....same year as my 90.... well will the motor bolt right into my truck. If not what would i have to do to my truck to make it work and fit. my truck again is a 1990 toyota 22/re 4x4 5 speed.... and i want to put a v 6 toyota motor into it.... thank you guys

yeah oops i mistaken i will be buying a v6 toyota engine for my years pickup..... 89-95 and yes i would be buying the motor to put in my 22r/e

Waste of time, energy and money....

If you want V6 power, you won't get it with the 3.0 unless you spend $3K on performance parts... and even then, you likely will barely make the level of power of the 3.4. Skip the swap, put a header, cam, intake and exhaust on your 22re and get better mileage and similar performance to the 3.0.

Or go full out and do a 2.7 I-4 swap - cheaper, better mileage, same power as a 3.0 V6.

I agree after putting a new short block in my truck, the new cam and headers make a huge difference, I love it!
