Hey mate, did you have any success with this? I have a similar vibration but over a range of speeds and is respective of RPM, so thinking drive line related too. Felt to be the front so removed my front drive shaft and locked the diff. Completely went away and the front drive shaft appears in good condition.I'm having a similar issue where mine vibrates and resonates 60mph and above. It is not RPM dependent. I've previously had the rear drive shaft refurbished with new u-joints and rebalanced about a year ago so I'm pretty sure it's not the rear drive shaft. I pulled out my front drive shaft and the vibration went away so I was confident it was the front took it to the same shop that did the rear. Once I put the front drive shaft back in the vibration immediately came back so unfortunately it wasn't the front drive shaft but I don't know what else it could be.
Any updates on your vibration? @KiwiPike
How's your pinion bearings on the T-case and front diff? Can you push the driveshaft/output flanges around?Hey mate, did you have any success with this? Had to do some sand 4wd on this trip so put the drive shaft back in with the center diff locked and didnt have any issues with the vibration, drove some more kms that afternoon with the drive shaft in and unlocked and the vibration wasnt there.
Following days i had a 12 hour highway drive and at the start was running with the drive shaft in and unlocked diff and drove fine for a hundered ish kms before it started to vibrate, removed the front drive shaft straight away and drove home in 2wd.
Would love to know if you had any success with your fix.
Cheers
t case and front diff flanges have no play pushing back and forth, the front diff however does have quite a large amount of backlash, i reckon i would get close to a 1/8-1/4 turn. How's your pinion bearings on the T-case and front diff? Can you push the driveshaft/output flanges around?
