The hose won't cause drainage problems, but it may promote rust in the rearward fender seam. Fwiw, I deleted those hoses and dont expect any issues.

Ok, good to know. I think I'll complete the seam job sans hose then.

Yeah, that's a good point. I did so knowing I seam sealer and painted everything in the cowl area. If you do that, you'll be fine IMHO.

I'd knock out that dent if you can though.

Seam seal job is complete! Not the cleanest bead line, but I’ll have the shop paint over it when the truck gets painted.
