I am selling my baby. 1988 FJ62 with 57k original miles. I looked over two years for this machine and have babied it completely. With the exception of a couple nicks and an easily fixed impression on front right fender, this truck is mint. The inside looks like it was just driven off the showroom floor and the engine superb. It runs exceptional.

You will not find a more pristine FJ62 with miles this low. It was bought and lived its entire life in San Diego before coming to Texas last year. The original owner took immaculate care of this truck and saved EVERY service record (provided). He even logged every gas fill up in a journal (provided). It has the original owners manual and even the window sticker from the dealer the day it was bought.

Landcruiser Specialists has taken care of all maintenance while under my care. I was going to have the slight impression fixed on the front right fender (was there when I purchased the truck), but never got around to it because it didn't bother me.

The ONLY reason I am selling “Smokey” is because I’ve just taken a new job that requires frequent travel; I don’t want to add the miles of daily driving and can’t afford to simply garage it. Price is $21k which is what I paid for him in July of last year. Serious inquiries only. You will not find a FJ62 like this again. email for photos...bluelanding@gmail.com

I remember drooling over cruisers when I was in school. Hang in there and thx for the response!

Yes, a dent. Having trouble posting photos. Glad to email if you are interested.

Nice cruiser.

I'd recommend you post pictures on flickr or photobucket and link to them here. Lots of pictures will help.

pictures do a great job of telling the story. very clean inside and out, as well as underneath. only critique i would have is similar to above, for $21k, the body damage should be repaired, pass front and driver rear. otherwise, thats a damn nice truck. good luck with your sale.

Again, thanks for the feedback and comments. I hesitate to have the spots fixed because I'd rather the buyer be able to have them done to his (or her) standard. Fair point regarding the price...I felt that might be a bit high and honestly think it was in part because I don't really want to sell it. Regardless, it is the right call. I'm lowering the price to $18k, which I think is fair given the condition and miles. I haven't seen anything this low or better maintained in 2 years of looking. That way the buyer can choose how to repair the two spots if they choose to. Does that seem more on track? Thanks again for the feedback. Ray
