Selling an 87 Sammy, I got it in a trade and have too many vehicles, and anyway I'm sticking with my Toyotas. I don't know a lot about the truck but it runs pretty well, starts up fine and seems to work well mechanically. Truck is gray with a dark gray or black like new soft top that fits well. Tires are good, everything seems to work OK and I don't know of anything the truck would need to pass PA state inspection (truck came from Kentucky). I believe the mileage is around 120K.
Body-wise the truck is solid one small spot of rust just starting. This truck is stock- no lift kit or engine mods, rust free Sammys are hard to find around here. Kind of a rarity, too because it has cold AC with one minor glitch (see below).
There are a few items that need attention. Upholstery is not real good on the seats I hear this is typical on these old Sammys. It does have a rear seat. The passenger door panel is off, upholstery needs to be re-glued to the fiber panel. Again I hear this is a common problem. Temp gauge doesn't work. The A/C compressor works and it will **** cold if you jump the compressor but it won't work from the switch inside the cab. Don't know why.
Soft top is brand new and looks great.
Unmolested trucks are hard to find. I want $1400 for the truck, won't take any less. Best way to contact me is by email at home shmukter@pa.metrocast.net or call 570-668-2489 before 8PM. I'm a half hour from Paragon near Tamaqua. Gary S
