*** SOLD *** to rstrickland. Thanks!

Hey folks,

I'm going to throw this truck out there for two reasons - first, I've realized I'm probably not going to wheel it myself, and two, somebody here would probably enjoy the hell out of it. Also, my wife is finding herself wanting more "creature comforts" (should have seen that coming -- maybe I'll look for an fzj80 :))

Some of you may recognize the truck. It's been owned by a couple other ih8mud members (unfortunately, can't find their usernames), and let me tell you, it shows. Just about everything you could reasonably wish for in an FJ60 this thing has -- it spent 95% of its life in Southern California, and exhibits NO rust. It's actually pretty remarkable -- all the usual culprits are 100% clean. Wheel wells, inside of doors, floor pans, spring hangers, etc.

It spent about 2.5 years of its life at Man-a-fre getting just about everything done. I believe it's featured on their site for a few of their products, even (or has been).

I'll post a complete breakdown of all the upgrades I can think of, and some pictures below. I'm looking for about $13,500 in a perfect world, but I'll be happy to work with an ih8mud member. Title in hand, ready to roll. I'd drive it cross country tomorrow with no hesitation. It sold on here a little while ago for a little less, however there's been some good work put into it since (namely interior, dual optimas, complete fluid change, tires, and other assorted goodies), and I think this is a pretty good price for the truck you're getting.

ODO reads around 270,000 -- however, motor/trans/driveline and just about everything else short of the frame and body have around 20,000. It shows, believe me.

Truck is just north of Atlanta, GA. I can meet you within a reasonable distance if you'd like. You can send me a PM, or email me at dab@rj45.org. I'd be happy to speak with you via phone, but please PM me for that information first.

If you have any questions, I'll do my best to answer them as best I can! I'd prefer cash only.

It has a few minor things... small (not terrible) floorboard leak in really heavy rain. Happened once, stayed dry since, haven't been able to find what caused it. It may have been a trapped floor mat. Driver's side seat has been rebuilt with the SOR padding, however stock upholstery is torn (shocker, I know). SOR Tuff Duck covers installed on all seats, though, so it's not visible.

Hmm, my pictures seem to be linking to the Thumbnails and not the full-size pictures... trying to fix, but unfortunately I don't have permission to edit the post. I'll see if I can get them squared in another post here in this thread.

Yeap! I got in touch with the owner directly and had him end the auction a little early (not for the listed price on eBay -- boy, that would have been nice!)

It was the cleanest 60 I'd seen in years short of a complete restoration, and I wanted something I could wheel in that was a little more capable than my 4Runner.

So, two things have happened since I got it -- first, it's really nice to the point I don't know that I could bring myself to drive it hard on the trails, and my wife has realized that while owning a nice old truck sounded neat, she misses the "pliable" ride of something more recent, so she's sort of giving me the signals that maybe I should consider something a little newer that she could use on occasion.

I figure I'll put it out there and see if somebody else wants to enjoy.

Well, if you're still interested, let me know. I'd prefer to sell it to another Toyota guy (or gal I suppose) before I consider something like eBay.

So whats up with the missing smog hose going to the air cleaner ?

what about this 5/8" heater type hose that should go down to the oil cooler.. where is it going ?

Smog hose: good question, I assumed it was an artifact of the dual battery install, the stock intake duct is removed to accomodate battery #2. I'll look into it -- though given it passed california emissions last year, I suspect it's not too much of an issue. Things fire up and run just fine nevertheless, but thanks for pointing it out, as I'll keep an eye open and consult the handy-dandy 2F emission manual.

5/8" heater hose - that hose is going there. I'd be happy to snap another pic of it if you'd like *shrug*

Edit: Nevermind, I see what you're saying about the heater hose. Actually, thanks for pointing that out, it answered a question I had about why some pictures of other 2Fs on the other side had a slightly different hose arrangement. It's been re-routed, ends up in the right place. I can't say exactly why, though. Somebody may have an idea on that.

Typical MAF sorcery in full bloom.....

Man, I really wish that was still on the west coast....... if you can find a way to get it over here I would buy it for sure.

Shipping cross country isn't too horrible (by comparison). I think a buddy of mine recently got a DeLorean from Seattle to Atlanta for something like $600 - $700, IIRC.

Hell, it may be cheaper than gas driving it yourself, haha

SOLD this great truck to rstrickland about 15 minutes ago. Thanks for the interest!
