SOLDThanks for looking
Up for sale is my 1987 Toyota Land Cruiser. This was my first Toyota Land Cruiser. It is an ’87 FJ 60 wagon that had 182K miles when I purchased it in 2001. This FJ60 was purchased new at Rotter’s Auto Center in Olympia. I purchased it from the second owner, also from Olympia. His family drove it to Alaska a few times and used it as a daily driver.
This truck has had several modifications. The first one was swapping out the carburetor for fuel injection, using GM throttle body injection. I built the system my self from junk yard parts and a MAF Tuned Ceramic Header with custom exhaust. Second was installation of the non US, H55F 5speed transmission. During the winter of 2005 I rebuilt the engine with about 260k on the odometer. Next was to install an OME 2.5″lift (medium front and heavy rear) and 33″ tires. It also has a snorkel, installed with a “cyclonic” air filter housing like on the diesels and 62s. It has dual batteries using a Hellroaring Technologies battery isolator, automatically controlling the charge of the auxiliary battery, then disconnecting to eliminate the drain on the main battery. Batteries are mounted in Stainless trays landcruiser battery trays, factory fit, superior quality.. Most accessories are run off of the Aux battery. For seats, I installed Mercedes SUV heated leather, 8 way power seats. Rear seats have 3 pt adjustable seat belts added.
This truck is loaded with lots of non-US/Australian parts.
-Larger Aussie side mirrors, sliding rear windows,
-Milford Cargo Barrier (able to me mounted behind the rear seats, or behind the front seats with the rear seats folded down),
-passenger grab handle,
-dash mounted inclinometer,
-H55F 5 speed transmission,
-Kaymar rear bumper,
-OME lift,
-Safari Snorkel.
Other stuff it has.
-TBI Fuel injections
-FJ62 fuel tank with in-tank fuel pump
-Tuned Ceramic Headers with custom 2.5" exhaust
-Dual batteries with Hellroaring isolator and Stainless Trays battery trays.
-rear shoulder belts
-Mercedes Power leather seats
-Cooper Discovery ST tires mounted on 16” Tundra steel wheels, with 1” wheel spacers.
-Waggon Gear rear gate storage lid
-Tuffy Locking Center Console.
Last year I had to do a little rust repair on the left rear quarter panel, I removed the old rusty metal and welded in some new. There is a dent above the the left tail light. Paint isn't perfect but not bad for being the original.
