How about an 1988? It's not too far from the border.

1989 Hilux LN106 from Mustang Connections in Armstrong, BC. This outfit seems to sell a lot of Japanese import vehicles. I haven't heard anything bad, but I haven't personally dealt with him either. Prices seem resonable. He has some Nissan Skylines that I'm drooling over...one of which may grace my drive one day. :D

hmm....funny that this thread just came up....here is my new truck....anyone that comes to Virginia is welcome to ride in this diesel - mind you, it won't be a quick trip :)

how hard is it to get the trucks across the border?

The roads down here in Guatemala are crawling with those things. Every second vehicle is a Toyota pickup and of those 1/2 are the "crew cab" 2.4 or 2.8 diesel. They are left hand drive to boot down here!
