It would cost $1000 to get it to Iowa. It was tempting but it's either a LOT of work or a parts rig. I just felt someone closer who's looking for a project would be better suited.

I spoke with the owner when they had it on craigslist at $2500 - told him he was leaving money on the table - he bumped it up to $3500. Whoever bought it is using the text J. Ward and I wrote about 1983 FJ40's. I'll be interested to see how much it brings. If I remember correctly the truck did not run and the odometer is non-op so the mileage is not accurate. Hopefully whoever buys it will put it back together correctly.

its still running OEM fixed hubs, just like my 82 when I found it, don't see that very often. Interestingly my 82 was bought new in FL(and moved soon to WA State).......but thankfully does not have the same fresh air package

I tried HARD to convince my CFO (aka wife) to let me grab this, but she gave me the look and knew it was a dead dream. When I saw it on CL it was @ $3500. If I saw it at $2500 I think I would have jumped the chain of command and made my own executive decision.
