picked up a used 8274 pulled it all apart except for the rod that the break is attached to.. i moved the inside flat plate out of the way but the shaft will not budge. when i watch the youtube video they show the thing sliding out with the push of a screwdriver. not mine!! I've moderately bang on it (from the inside)with a bloc of wood and a hammer and its not budging. any advice from those who have been there done that?

Two pry bars on the case side of the brake housing gets that brake shaft and seal assembly out of the housing every time.

Because I was replacing the roller bearing in the lower case, I just punched the shaft out. This wrecked the thin cover on the outside of the roller bearing, but made it very easy to remove the shaft.
