81 Mini build (1 Viewer)

Mike (stepdad) and I got a 81 mini to build for him to off-road in. First time with a mini. This truck will be off road only. Plan is to tube and 4-link the rear, exo-cage, arb front, weld the rear, stock 4cyl, leave the 4spd till it fails, crawler gears or t-case doubler. tring to keep the build under 3K.

I want to lift the front about 3-4 inches who sells good springs at decent prices only need front, going coilover in rear.

Aso need a power steering box, coil-overs, fuel cell, diff gears used parts ok so if you got any thing let me know.

Wow that is the craziest/most elaborate shock setup I have ever seen

Rears up front are the cheapest option. Marlin sells a 4" spring or Alcan will build whatever you want, but will cost you more $. You'll want to get a power steering box from an IFS truck and the hysteer conversion from Marlin. The factory j-arm setup won't last long on a lifted truck.
