Eyeing this exact setup with the nice discount they're running on the XL.

I think I could handle a bit of stickout for some extra room at night. I'm 6' 3" and the wife is 6".

A bit of room is nice, especially during summer months. The near-instant deploy is certainly appealing as well.

Yeah that

$600 off is hard to argue with.
I was impressed when it showed up, would have liked to pay less but was not under impressed after unboxing.

Working on it currently and something to note is with the bowfin rack, it does rattle against the cross bars that aren’t clamped to it.

I’m currently adding the ones from the ARB kit to mitigate.

Also, the bowfin awning brackets do fit under the tent fine but at least with the XL don’t stick out far enough to have the tent sit with even overhang. There’s obviously awning brackets for these tents do not a big deal there.

6’2” here and I feel comfortable in it (feet do touch end of you have them straight up. But pretty comfy all things considered.

I liked that the tent came with the hardware pre threaded and lock tight…ed ready to slide in. It also came with a good bit of extras like a sand mat and pop up shower room

I have the "regular" version that i made custom direct mounts for, for a much lower profile than mounting on a roof rack. Made from 316 stainless steel.

I will probably upgrade to the XL version, as the regular is too small for 2 adults and 1 child. XL should be much more comfortable.

Those look good. I bet that’s a lot more low profile and clean looking. You fixin to do the same style brackets for the XL or you think it’ll be too wide?

Yes, i will do the same style mounts for the XL as well. Will need to adjust the design slightly, but It's doable. The advantages of ultra low profile brackets like these are just too big to pass up.

Looks very nice but in my part of the country the bowfin rack with just an awing gets beat up from the trees. I don't think i could squeeze that XL down the trails around here.

Still very nice looking

CVT Mt Hood on custom rack I made, more info here. Similar to the falcon, just easier to store stuff inside
