Hi all -

On the hunt for an 80 to use as my DD (I have a '87 that is my weekend fun car). Would prefer to spend more on a clean car that needs minimal work done.
Having a tough time figuring out what is a good value as prices are all over the place.

Based in Sonoma county - would prefer closeby, but willing to look within 3-4 hours, and in socal as my family lives there.
'93 or 94 (95-97 second choice)
Mileage 150-250k
Minimal rust, solid body
Dealbreaker colors - black or burgundy
Would like a classic with few modifications (roof rack or slightly oversized tires welcome)
Might take this to vineyards and camping, but won't be used for serious off-roading

I have a '93 with a little over 260k on it. White color, cloth seats in great shape, no factory lockers, third owner, and California car for lifetime of the rig. Bought it in 2017 in SoCal have since replaced front main seal, serviced front knuckles, performed regular maintenance. Prior owner replaced radiator and other maintenance. Pretty clean rig with minimal to no corrosion. New tires as of November '19 with about 5k miles on them. Currently living just south of Sacramento and would be happy to show it locally. Not in a rush to sell it though. Would like to get 10k for it.

Con: Has shifting issue best described in thread below however it has done this since I purchased it and has not seemed to worsen. Replaced shift solenoids. My plan was to get a transmission from Rancho Cordova and put it in if all else failed but since it works I have not gone ahead with that. I have driven it from SoCal to Northern ID and back. Took it from Sacramento to Utah and Revelstoke and back without issues. Also missing rear mud flaps and hubcaps (kept falling out/getting in the way).
