^^ Its Ross! :D

Brittan and Cook also installed these plates

The many plates weve installed from both Slee and MetalTech all need to be notched so not sure why these would be any different? Can see in first picture in second post.

Glad you got it figured out. Whos rig is getting the caster fix?

Agree, but hadn't installed this type before. If I install another set, will make a mod that will make them almost bolt on. But, still prefer the masher mod, more options and not that much more work.

I don't see "bolt on" mentioned any where in this thread until you posted this.

For those who missed the installation instructions in post 89, here (<== click for link) it is again.

Very sorry for the ignorant, erroneous, misleading question. Sorry for posting here, will attempt to do it less.

Washer mod is a good choice if you have the time, a welder, way to resize 8:eek:holes, and dont need much correction. The plates offer more correction (2º more then the washer mod I measured that was done at your auto shop) and can be done with not much then hand tool.

For a comparison what does a washer mod cost and how long does it take at your shop?

It would be an interesting comparison, the washer mod and then the castor plate mod. I'm sure they both have pros and cons and I happen to be in the market for one or the other so could use an informed opinion.

After reading this thread (and the instruction thread requiring ratchet straps/come-along) I have decided that the best way to prepare for this install is to make an appointment at CBT. Yikes...

Plates installed and for at least on my truck there is a noticeable difference in how the truck drives down the road. definitely worth the install.

For a comparison, how much did you spend on the caster plates and how much is CBT going to charge for the install?
Paid $105 (I think...) for the plates from Phil/Medtro... Need to get a quote from Murf and/or see if they are even willing to do the work given the need for trimming...
