I’m working on getting my 80 back together with some modifications, and may be getting new carpet.

Does anyone sell a kit without the 3rd row bracket humps on the rear wheel wells? I’d like to delete whose while o have it all torn apart.

It also looks like the ACC kit doesn’t have cutouts in the back for the 3rd row floor mounts. Is that right?

Thanks

The ACC carpet does not have cut outs but it is formed to fit around the seat brackets.

You ever find an option? Tru-Fit Carpets & Vinyls by Vision Auto Pty/Ltd - https://trufitauto.com.au - has carpet but they are $300 to ship to the states. Much too expensive.

It seems like the ACC kit is sold under a bunch of names. The best deal I've been able to find so far is RockAuto, who seem to be charging less shipped than most of the other places are charging before shipping.

Pretty good thread below... Fair warning, reading through it will probably convince you that you really need the extra thick carpet and MLV backing... at least it did me.

I did the heavy-backed carpet. It took forever to get it cut and fitting right but I think it is worth it.

The factory is in Oxford, AL. As of late 2023 they were selling direct but you had to go there in-person.

Not exactly convenient for me... I think the closest I've been to that is the Birmingham airport. 😆
I'm not compatible with the weather in that part of the country!

I used a stock interiors kit for my 91 80 series but also don’t have the brackets for the third row, so the carpets bumps up there. I would also be interested in other options if there are any.

I have been considering using a heat gun on the mass backing to see if I can work the bubbles out some. Has anyone tried this before?

Stay away from the mass backed carpet. My still smells of tar 4 years after I ordered it. Installed it a year ago. I have to leave the windows open so it does not smell like a roofing contractor's truck.

Good advice. Thanks for the post
