80 Series Body Style Compared to 100 or Sequoia

I was sitting in traffic today and had a chance to do a comparison with a 100, Sequoia, and 80 series.

Maybe it's just my own biased opinion but--Does the 100 and Sequoia look very generic? More modern looking of course but for some reason the lines on the 80 just catch the eye while the other 2 body styles appear to blend in with the rest of the modern day 'crowd'.

To qualify for tech post--I would ask if the 80 series is more aerodynamic than the other 2 and if either if these are more prone to be top heavy than the 80.

Quite frankly, when compared to the 80 series, the 100 and the Sequoia suck quite efficently when it comes to appearance.........

Especially the Sequoia. The truck is quite large but I think the wheels and tires are small in proportion to the body of the truck. The rear air wing also makes it look quite stupid in my opinion.

I've got an 80 and a 100 sitting side by side in my garage, next to a sienna minivan.

The 80 has far more character than the 100, IMHO, but I have trouble sitting in the 100 and agreeing that it sucks.

No way, the 100 and Sequioa are more aero. Hidden, integrated gutters. Flush glass. recessed wipers, windshield angle, a-pillars "faired"... tons of details...

They really increased the "Suckage" factor with the removal of the flared fenders, which IMHO gives it that agressive stance that sets it apart.

Also, one nice thing about the 100 is the incredible room available under the hood. A family of four could sleep in the available space, or you could get extremely creative with enhancements.

I also heard that the Sequoia could take the place of the land cruiser as Toyota is trying to compete with the other GM models with their first large SUV. Thus...the land cruiser's days could be numbered.

I'm sure CDan and others have more information on that topic.
