80 Quad Projector Headlight Retrofit

With the help from my neighbor that use to retrofit headlights professionally we have been trying to figure out how to update the front headlights on the 80. So this what we ended up building, a quad headlight retrofit on the 40th Anniversary FZJ80. I pulled the glass lens, sanded, and painted the chrome on the factory headlights. Then we done the fit test with the new projectors. I will post more pictures when the project is completed.

Did you use the stock light housings or did you use Depo housings for your retrofit?

I used the OEM housing because they stopped sell the Depot lights in the US. The OEM lens will be replaced with a clear lens. The HID lights run alot cooler and last about 5x longer. I just wanted do something different that is functional. Thanks for all the comments!

Update adjusting projectors and almost finished with retrofit!

Completed a couple projects the past couple weeks and finally completed the projector headlights on my 80.

Must they be blue? I find I see better with a halogen.

They just look blue but they are white at night when driving.
