Larry, are you changing colors or just getting rid of the pin striping? The paint Deryl got which I think was from SW worked out pretty good. Just make sure it's a single stage paint unless you want to use a base coat and a clear coat. I am currently working with NAPA to get a match for my yellow in a single stage. Don't exactly know what brand they use.

not sure what paint NAPA is selling now but if is still Martin Senour woulnd`t paint an outhouse with it. the quality of the stuff in the outhouse is way superior to stuff ya B puttin on!

Omni paint is a good cheap paint. I painted an 80 I had back in the day with it. I owned the truck for a few years and it held up well, granted it never left the pavement so I don't really know how strong it would hold up to trail use.

Edit: Larry I love your blue paint job. If it was me, I wouldn't paint it. Wet sand and buff or look the other way.

Yep I'm going Orange, Mark's 80 always inspired me. I do want a single stage no use for anything more on this rig.

Thanks bud :), for some reason I've never been fond of the blue and it needs a lot wet sanding and buffing to clean those pin stripes up but thats what I got it for to use and enjoy. I've always had my heart set on the Orange at some point.

Thanks Lenny it'll be a little lighter going for Tennessee Orange. I also like the 2011 Dodge 2500 Orange as well. Had my truck a month before I saw one like this on side the road and was ready to trade it in :D

I don't know what else to say... "Wow" doesn't seem to cover it.

me

never say a new dodge truck in that color before . Challenger yes.. truck..nope.

I personally like the orange on the MT 80 a little better. kind of a burnt orange look, but not too much, ya know.

I thought about painting the samurai that color awhile back but decided i hate to paint.. plus it is so much easier to keep rust away with a can of black paint. thought about a black color as well. If i paint it will be a shade of silver or charcoal.

I'm sure after a year of wheeling it'll look more of a burnt Orange  I remember Mark's being a little lighter years back.

The Sami would look awesome in that color, the charcoal would be interesting too and easy to touch up. I was checking out your recent progress its looking good . You need any testing with it? We need to head back up to Sicily soon I have an itch and I can't go to Hot Springs this month :frown: Maybe a trail working weekend and a little exploring sometime in March :hmm:

That is minor stuff compared to what's needed. My dana 300/atlas II adapter is almost done. I am still looking for a dana 300 with 4:1 kit. If I can't find one then a new dana 300 with all the goodies is close in price to an atlas II 5.0, so I will just get an atlas. I just got my airshocks in so I will start cutting this weekend. It's a little riding a little wrenching and a superbowl party type of weekend! If y'all are bored come on over!

Samurai is going to be stretched and get a 4 link.
I would love to go to sicilly island soon but I doubt the Zuk will be ready by then.
