Wanted 80 or 100 Series...

Hi folks. New guy here in central NC. I'm looking for a good Land Cruiser at a reasonable price. Would prefer one with air bags, etc since I'll be hauling the family mostly. Lockers are prefered. If anyone has a lead on one or sees one in passing, please let me know. I was negotiating on a 98 but the fact the owner only had one key and didn't disclose that until I was ready to buy and then wouldn't help offset the cost of a new key, well the deal fell through...

You didn't buy a car because there was only one key??? Looking back at the 50+ cars I've had, I can think of only a few that came with more than one key.

Yep... principal of the matter. I asked about keys/remotes when I looked at it originally and I was assured they had them and they worked. The cost of the integrated remote/key/transponder is $400 from a Toyota dealer or from a local locksmith. I really wanted the truck, I loved the color and I was willing to pay a little more for it, but when they wouldn't work with me to help offset the cost of the key, (I do have a budget and it was at the upper limit of that budget) then I walked away. There'll be another.

I'm like my father, I'll pay for what I want and I'll give you a fair price but don't try to deceive me and take advantage of me, I will say no.

I'm already inquiring about 3 others, just looking to see if anyone had a local lead...

Read your post. Please take a look at my FJ80. Mind condition. Low miles, kept in very good shape, mechanically with lots of upgrades to keep the cruiser running for another 300K miles. Clean inside and out.
Cruiser very well maintained, records with toyota dealership. Lots of TLC. Must sell, due to relocat.
