I think the other thread died...I was in buying some parts today (thermostat, coolant, filters, etc) and checked on Toyota Canada's ability to get block heaters - they too are showing discontinued.

Yes, I agree, the block heater thread is lost in the space-time continuim. :rolleyes:

I will re-state my post with a correction based on your information:

TMS USA discontinued block heaters a couple years ago and as Hugh observed it appears that Toyota Canada has done the same. There is an outlet in the US that I have access to that is offering some of the heater applications. The vendor is the same Canadian manufacturer that supplied them to TMS USA and probably Toyota Canada. They sell for about 30 dollars plus shipping.
 
Ah, you guys reminded me to go set mine for 8:30 warmup...
 
Here in Thailand with the tropical climate I need a Block Cooler. Any Ideas? :D

I tried this already but then I got only cold water instead of my icecubes :eek:

Is there a Turbo for my Icemaker ???

I went to Pataya beach in 88-89 while in the Navy, probubly my all time favorite port, and about the only country I feel I would like to return to for a visit.
